the way that college students do their homework while they have an active, running tumblr account:
so you’re writing a college paper! it might be due in a few weeks. it might be due next week! hell, it might be due in about 4-6 hours. but at least you’re working on it.
and progress is being made! you’re using your personal laptop which can bring many distractions (and it obviously does, since i’m writing this post and not finishing a paper).
but you reward yourself with the progress made! example:
- 1 paragraph done: 5-10 minutes on tumblr (each paragraph finished = at least 5 minutes on tumblr)
- 2 paragraphs done (in a row): 15-20 minutes. you’ve written at least 10 uninterrupted sentences to form two paragraphs! go on, get on tumblr, you’ll feel less stressed
there’s not much more to this. tumblr is a distraction. but it is also a reward. the paper could be as short as 500 words, but it could take you hours and hours to finish it.

i’d like if someone would like to check over my most recent story. i haven’t written one in god knows how long, and i would like someone to be my beta for this so i may post it as soon as possible!
i live on the east coast and it’s 12:30am, so right now i’m going to bed since i’m exhausted. i will hopefully be on at an early time tomorrow morning so if anyone replies, i can send it as soon as possible and this can be done and posted on the internet!
